Not Yet - Shuumashu Not Yet PV preview

Honestly, I don't know what to think of this group.

Prior to watching this, I hadn't listened to the song preview, but I was expecting to hear a cool R&B type song from this group. Then I saw the covers and they were absolutely no help. They gave me three different group ideas.

We have a cool group:

We have a sexy group:

And we have a group that looks like they sing jazz or oldies:

But then the PV preview comes out, and we get none of that! We have a cute idol group, dancing to a cute idol song with colorful lights and weird cheerleaders in the background!

Now I'm not saying that i don't like the song, cause I do! I really do! It is just not what I was expecting.

Like I said, so far we see each girl in a different colored outfit:
Oshima Yuko: Blue
Kitahara Rie: Pink
Sashihara Riho: Yellow
Yokoyama Yui: Green

They are dancing on a stage with multi colored lights and the male cheerleaders in the background.
The song itself is a typical cute idol song with a cute dance beat. Each girl has on their best faces while singing and dancing.

There debut single Shuumatsu Not Yet will be released on March 16 in 3 versions. Please support their debut and buy the single!

Hello! Paradise Clip of The Week

Yesterday, I was looking at old Hello! Project concert footage from 2008. And I found an old clip that I remembered to be one of my faves. So I decided to share it!

This video is Minimoni's Ai~n! Dance no Uta performed by Kamei Eri, Sudo Maasa, Junjun and Linlin, Enjoy!

Oku Manami to graduate from AKB48

A couple of days ago it was announced that Team B's Oku Manami decided it was time to graduate from AKB48.

The announcement was made by Maachan herself on the official AKB48 blog. Apparently she is graduating to continue her schooling.

I am actually surprised that she made this decision. Usually idols at 15 are at the prime of their career and want to keep it going as long as they can, but the fact that she wants to go back to school is very big of her. I support her choice and hope her fans do too.

Manami will graduate after the handshake event in April. The exact date has not announced.

Itano Tomomi 2nd Single Announced.

Only two weeks after the release of her first single, we now have an announcement for a second single for our dear Tomochin to be released on April 27!

I say congrats to Tomomi. Her first single is still doing really well and this one is sure to be a success as well.

Itano Tomomi - Dear J

So far Itano's debut single has sold close to 200,000 copies (a little over 185,00) and still selling.

Honestly, the sales for this single bothered me at first because i thought she was only making these sales because she was in AKB48, but then i actually saw one of her live performances:

All I have to say is : DAMN! The song just radiating with pure awesome and Tomochin is just beautiful in performing it.

If you haven't already, please support dear tomochin and purchase a copy of the single.

C-ute - Kiss Me Aishiteru

The PV for C-ute's Kiss Me Aishiteru was released last week.

Starting off with the song, it seems that C-ute having less members is good in terms of line distribution. Every member has an almost even number of lines, with the favoring of Airi, Maimi, and FINALLY Chisato.
The song itself has a nice beat to it and ~nee parts in the middle add a nice touch.

For the video, as usual for H!P PVs, we have a standard dance shot, close-up shots, and an additional shot in a kind of hallway.

The dance shot takes place in an empty room with a white and black checkerboard dance floor. The dance is in typical C-ute style as there is a very intricate dance to the song.
The white room contrasts very nicely with the gold and purple outfits that the girls are wearing.

The close up shots are done in the same room with each girl sitting in a bubble chair while wearing headphones and holding a glass apple. First, what is with the headphones? Why are the holding the apple. I haven't seen a translation yet so pardon me if it's in the lyrics. Second, i would have liked it if the outfits from the cover (above picture) were used here instead of the same ones from the dance.

Lastly there is the alternate shot. This is shot similar to the hallway shot used in Onna to Otoko no Lullaby Game, except instead of just singing in it there are also small clips of each girl dancing in it in the shadows.

Overall, the PV is good in terms of the standard Hello! Project criteria and is a good start for C-ute for the year. For your viewing pleasure, the PV is posted below.

The single will be released on Feb. 23

Junjun, Happy Birthday

I almost forgot to wish my favorite panda a very happy 23rd birthday!

9th Generation Part 6

On the most recent episodes Bijo Gaku, there is always a segment on the current generation's progress in Morning Musume. I will be reviewing these sections until the girls make their official debut.

This week's episode shows the girls going through their dance and vocal lessons with the song Tomo.

I'll start from the top, Fukumura definitely seems to be one of the most confident with her dancing. Of course, that comes from her time in Hello! Pro Egg.
Next we have Ikuta Erina. While she dose seem to be competent in learning the dances, there is still room for improvement. To me she still looks slightly scared when she is on camera. I'm sure that she will relax in time though.

Now the "ace" of the generation: Sayashi Riho. Along with Fukumura, Riho is one of the more experienced performers of the four. Learning the dance to Tomo seems to be an easy thing for her.

Lastly, we have Suzuki Kanon. Now not to be rude, but Zukki has a lot of work to do. She clearly is struggling the most out of all the other girls and from what i see, it's almost like this was a wake up call for her and what needs to get done. But I really am waiting to see her progress throughout her training.

There is about a little over a month now until these the kyuukies make their official debut. They still have Morning Musume's 45th single to prepare for as well as the spring concert tour. Hopefully everything will be finalized in that time.

Until then, Ganbatte cookies!!!

Happy Birthday!

From this day forward, i will try my best to to blog all about two of my favorite things

-Hello! Project
-and AKB48
Pleas take care of me!
